About the role

This role will support Egypt exhibitions Fi Africa & ProPak MENA, Sahara, Pharmaconex & Autotech in bringing investors and buyers from around the region to enhance the presence of foreign, Egyptian and joint venture investments in the F&B, Agriculture, Pharma and Auto after market sectors in Egypt. Besides working on broadening existing clients scope to help widen their expansion or market penetration.

Job Summary/Responsibilities

  • You will invite, convince, and onboard an impressive cohort of investors and buyers for a program that will include a lounge, a dedicated dinner, bespoke meetings and opportunities to connect with fellow members of the ecosystem.
  • Your future KPIs will be aligned to bringing onboard the best and the brightest investors and buyers from around the region, that will help ensure the shows have the most impressive investor and buyers program cohort in Africa.
  • You will keep in contact with these investors and buyers throughout the year, cultivating a relationship, answering all queries, and meeting with them to convince them to become a part of the Program. All prospective and confirmed investors will be kept on a database that will be updated daily, for tracking and data purposes.
  • Closer to the event, this would involve working with the logistical operations team to ensure: Tier 1 investors and buyers (from the top global firms) are well looked after (e.g., flights, accommodation, transport); and that all investors and buyers confirmed to attend are kept well informed about key event details, such as badge collection, app downloads, venue location, and more.

Qualifications


Qualities and experience needed for the role

  • A keen interest in the global investment ecosystem.
  • Experience in dealing with investors and VCs is greatly preferred, especially if relationships have already been established and cultivated.
  • Computer literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Commercial awareness.
  • A strategic approach in order to determine the shape our Investor Program.
  • Copywriting/marketing skills.
  • Brand and market awareness.
  • Exemplary people management skills.

Skills required

  • You will work closely with marketing team to ensure that they accurately represent your investors.
  • You will be innovative in identifying globally investors and ensuring they align to the core values of our events.
  • You will be diligent in ensuring onboarded investors are high quality and the firms they represent are high value.
  • You will be able to convince investors the benefits of attending and participating in our events
  • You will do extensive research across multiple platforms to ensure all investor information is up to date.
  • You will have excellent people management skills to ensure investors are well looked after both in the pre-event run-up, and on site.
