Job Purpose
To contribute in the fulfilment of the company’s short & long term business plans by designing & supervising the development of innovative charging solutions for assigned customer segment, and delivering continuous enhancements & cost saving initiatives on the charging system. In addition to managing & mentoring of development team ensuring smooth execution of team daily activities and optimum quality of deliverables.

Managing & mentoring of development team:
Leads, motivates & coaches a team of charging solution designers & developers and technically enabling them to fulfil the calendar of the designated customer segment.
Delivering continuous enhancements:
Accountable for fulfilling designated segments enhancements as part of the charging section strategy to facilitate the day-to-day work, enhance customer experience and maximize revenues.
Charging solutions design:
Supervises the design of innovative solutions on the charging system for commercial requirements availing new propositions and services to Etisalat customers
Products & services development:
Supervises all implementations of Etisalat’s products and services on the charging system to ensure compatibility with section development guidelines and conventions
Quality assurance activities:
Reviews all deployment packages before their production release to avoid any revenue loss scenarios or unsatisfactory customer experience
3rd line charging support:
Ensures quick & accurate response to customer’s complaints by development team, acting as 3rd line support, to enhance customer experience & production stability
Acceptance of new features:
Assessing all new system upgrades and ICP uplifts and their impact on the charging system nodes, as well as acceptance of all features and capabilities to provide state of the art innovative services
Reporting & documentation:
Reports designated segment updates and team status to team’s line manager and ensures delivering of technical reports / documents for team tasks with other charging development teams to facilitate knowledge sharing & platforms maintainability
QUALIFICATIONS_ESSENTIAL
Knowledge:
Advanced knowledge about GSM / LTE mobile networks
Advanced knowledge about Intelligent networks (Ericsson charging system)
Advanced knowledge about core networks and SS7 protocols
Basic knowledge about SQL, Linux and software programming languages (As Java / C++)
Education:
BSc degree in electrical engineering / telecommunication engineering / computer science or computer engineering is required from a reputable university
Prior Work Experience:
5 years’ experience in telecom & charging fields
Hands on experience on Ericsson charging system
Language Proficiency:
Fluency in both spoken & written English & Arabic language is required.
Problem Solving:
Must be able to resolve day-to-day conflicts to ensure smooth operations of daily activities
Innovation:
Must continually enhance existing processes & charging methodologies to enhance TTM
